We went to the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science yesterday, a field trip I remember taking when I was younger. The upstairs is geared toward adults. Landon enjoyed pushing buttons, but needless to say, he didn't really take interest in the cellular breakdown of the human body or the microscopic level of our skin. The lower level, however, was fantastic for children. He could dress up like a fireman and drive the fire engine.....an event that's rather routine for our Landon. He planted seeds in a garden, milked a cow, pumped helium into a hot air ballon to make it rise, scoped out some creepy-crawlies, dined and cleaned dishes in a kitchen, floated boats in a water exhibit, played musical instruments, and much, much more.

Boots, Chaps, & Cowboy Hats
Several years back my friend, Kristi, bought these genuine leather chaps and vest for her little boy. He never wore them.....time just slipped by so fast or she forgot about them. She offered them to me in hopes that Landon was just the right size. He is and we love them! Needless to say, I thought they were just so darn cute. Why not wear them for Halloween? Landon has been a pumpkin, a farmer, and this year he'll trick-or-treat as a little cowpoke. Of course, I had to go buy him a gun holster and some cap guns to complete the outfit. Here are some pre-Halloween pictures we took in our front yard.
